Lifting program for a 14 year old?
Hello. I'm 14 years old, i play soccer almost year round, and i have some extra weight around my stomach. I am 5 foot 2 and weigh 125 pounds. I am looking for a weight lifting program that will help me lose some weight, specifically the fat around my abs and build muscle. I have strong abs, its just i have a half inch layer of fat over them and i want 2 get rid of it. Plz make any program detailed and if possible provide food menus of what i should eat.
Try toning your muscles. Not only does this burn calories but decreases body fat. Do sit ups (15-25), bicycles, the plank etc. and these work great! Also here are some food tips:
*-drink water or flavored water like Propel instead of soda. (Soda gives you unneeded calories which turn into fat and cause cellulite.)
- Exercise 30 mins. at least three times a week (even if it is just walking) or stay active as much as possible. Do something you like for exercise whether it be dancing, jogging to music, hula hooping or jump rope
-Eat the right calories meaning the food groups. GO to mypyramid.com to see how much of each group your body needs.
-If you are craving dessert, have one!! Its not a sin, just have a small portion and throw away the rest
-Hide away junk food
