How long does it take for a skinny person to build muscle?

im 14,ectomorph,5'7 and weight 125lbs,i have started to lift weights but im not gonna eat 3000 calories and like 130gm of protein,i dont have time for that,i have a fast metabolism.if i lift heavy and correctly,in the span of a year,will i have noticable gains or will it take longer to build without the drugs a.k.a powders?

I'm 24, 6'2 and 175lbs and have a wicked fast metabolism I was a lot like you at that age.

If you start working out you'll notice your hunger will increase, you'll start eating more and will inevitabley start consuming more calories.

Over the course of 2 years I went from no muscle tone, being unfit and unhealthy to being a good weight, fit enough to pass a police recruitment test and look damn good with my shirt off.

My advice is to start lifting slowly with small weights and work your way up. Protein shakes after a workout will help, that and a healthy diet.

That's all I did and it's worked for me.
