Weight Gain Muscle Building
I want to lose weight by exercising but I'm afraid that building muscle will make me gain weight?

I want to start doing pilates and jogging about a mile every day but I'm afraid that it will make me gain weight because muscle weighs more than fat. Is this true? Will I gain or lose weight? I'm eating a normal amount to maintain weight right now.

the number that you get from a scale is inconsequential. it is merely a measure of how hard gravity is pulling down on your mass. you should turn your attention to how you look in the mirror and how you fit into your clothes rather than fixate on this random number. putting on Muscle Mass does increase this number but will make you appear lean and toned rather than bulky as excess fat would. in addition, the more muscle mass you have the more calories you at rest! this is because unlike fat, muscle cells require massive amounts of calories to maintain themselves.
